Public Advocacy

Public advocacy is a way for individuals to organize and influence change as a group. Advocates serve as volunteers to help each other share and learn information, raise funds, collaborate with doctors and scientists, improve access to health care, initiate new ways to conduct research, and develop a network that provides moral support.

If you’d like to get involved, here are just a few of the many advocacy groups you may want to consider:

Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network

Children’s Cause Cancer Advocacy

Colorectal Cancer Coalition

International Cancer Advocacy Network

The Lance Armstrong Foundation

National Breast Cancer Coalition

The National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship

Susan G. Komen for the Cure (Breast Cancer)
