Tiredness
What Is Tiredness?
Tiredness is the most common side effect of cancer treatment, affecting up to 96% of patients. Tiredness has several definitions, but is commonly described as feeling weak, exhausted, or worn-out.
Tiredness may come on suddenly and last for a brief period, or it may also be long-lasting and overwhelming. Contact your doctor if you are unable to get out of bed for more than a 24-hour period, or experience a progressive worsening of fatigue
What Causes Tiredness?
Tiredness is caused by many factors, such as the cancer itself, difficulty sleeping, physical and emotional stress, or anemia. Tiredness may affect your ability to do the things you used to do.
